All land, North, East, West, and South of us is Indigenous land. Borden Place, a part of BPI, is located on Treaty 13 and Dish With One Spoon territory. This wampum covenant is a treaty between the Anishinaabe, Mississaugas, and Haudenosaunee that binds them to share the territory and protect the land. At Borden Place, we humbly live and work here, aiming to abide by this covenant while supporting Indigenous sovereignty. We are committed to decolonizing ourselves and our communities in solidarity with Indigenous peoples, as well as promoting sustainable housing and transitional housing solutions.
